The first stage of the 36th edition of the 1000 Millas Sport has begun

The 36th edition of the 1000 Millas Sport has kicked off, centered in the city of Bariloche and featuring a unique journey along Route 40 where true gems of sports motoring are driven. The competition comprises three stages held on November 27, 28, and 29; to claim the top prize, competitors face the challenge of maintaining consistency as their primary objective throughout each stage.
On the first day accompanied by ideal weather conditions the race began at 7:00 a.m. at the Hotel Llao Llao. The route proceeded via Circuito Chico, Circunvalación, Dina Huapi, Villa La Angostura, the Seven Lakes Route (Camino de los 7 Lagos), Cardenal Samoré Pass, Lumia, Villa La Angostura, Dina Huapi, and Los Juncos, before returning to the Hotel Llao Llao at approximately 7:00 p.m.
At the end of the day, the partial results showed the following top five positions:
1- López Alejandro Gourovich, Gabriel Mercedes Benz 290 Sport C 1936
2- Tonconogy Margarita, Zilbergleijt Gaston, Bugatti T 38 1927
3- Kricorian Walter, Schiaffino, Alejandro Hudson SUPER SIX 1926
4- Eliçabe Manuel, Ros Artayeta Bernabé, Bugatti T 37 1926
5- Sánchez Zinny Fernando, Sanchez Zinny Lucho, Amilcar CGSs 1927
In any case, this is just the first leg, and everything could change over the coming days.
The second stage will take place on Friday the 28th, and the Patagonian weather is expected to remain favorable for the competitors who spend between 9 and 11 hours in their vehicles since the priority in this type of sporting event is regularity rather than speed.

Among the many participants, we are delighted to feature a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ from Ecuador and a 1930 Hispano-Suiza H6C,” state Fernando Briones (President of the Club de Automóviles Sport and General Director of 1000 Millas Sport) and Daniel Claramunt (Executive Director of 1000 Millas Sport).
This year, Juan Manuel Fangio II nephew of the five time world champion Juan Manuel Fangio is participating alongside his daughter Justina in a 1969 Ford Mustang.
On Saturday, the 16th Charity Auction will be held to benefit the Food Bank and various local NGOs, with Andrea Frigerio in attendance.
