Since 1989, the activity has grown significantly in our country over the years, driven by the success of the 1000 Millas Sport. Numerous events emerged in the wake of this race, taking place not only in Buenos Aires but also in various other locations across the country.
Since 1999, at the initiative of the Club de Automóviles Sport, the Automóvil Club Argentino has organized an Official National Championship sanctioned by the Comisión Deportiva Automovilística (CDA).
As a result of the collaboration between these organizations, three races that share the same spirit of historic motor racing in Argentina the Mil Millas Sport, the Rally de las Bodegas, and the Rally de la Montaña (all of which count towards the Argentine championship) have been united under a special award: the Triple Crown.
The prominence achieved by historic motor racing warranted such a trophy, mirroring those found in polo and horse racing. This special honorary award is presented annually to the driver who achieves the best overall performance across all three races.
