The 36th edition of the 1000 Millas Sport concluded in the city of Bariloche with a standout winner

The competition was organized by the Club de Automóviles Sport (CAS), an institution founded in 1948 and an undisputed benchmark for sports cars in the country.
Over the three days of this latest edition of the sports car competition featuring more than 100 participating vehicles an atmosphere of camaraderie, precision driving, elegance, and history prevailed, all set against a spectacular geographical backdrop.
The event comprised three stages, starting and finishing at the legendary Llao Llao Hotel in Bariloche. The route took participants through key tourist destinations including Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, the Seven Lakes Route (Camino de los 7 Lagos), San Martín de los Andes, Junín de los Andes, Dina Huapi, Cerro Catedral, Villa Mascardi, and El Bolsón making for an extraordinary journey.
Throughout the three days, classic sports cars took center stage, including a 1926 Bugatti Type 37, a 1927 Amilcar GCSs, and the legendary 1959 FIAT 1500 S OSCA (a fixture at every edition since 1992). Also featured were a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 and a Shelby Cobra 289, alongside iconic marques such as Alfa Romeo, MG, Bentley, Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, Lancia, Volvo, and Maserati—true icons embodying elegance, design, and outstanding engineering to the delight of sports car enthusiasts.
This year, the winners were Alejandro López and Gabriel Gourovich, driving a 1936 Mercedes 290 Sport C.

A major highlight of the 36th edition was the participation of Juan Manuel Fangio II nephew of the five time Formula 1 champion in the 1000 Millas Sport; he drove a 1969 Ford Mustang, accompanied by his 17 year old daughter, Justina.

Once the third stage concluded and the participants had returned to the Hotel Llao Llao, the classic Lake Party took place at Puerto Spiegel on the shores of Lake Moreno sponsored by Patio Bullrich where the winners of the Concours d’Elegance were announced:

The experience culminated in a charity gala dinner at the Hotel Llao Llao, featuring an awards ceremony and a traditional charity auction. Proceeds benefited the Food Bank (with patron Andrea Frigerio), the Challenge Foundation (Bariloche), Puentes de Luz (San Martín de los Andes), and the Cruzada Patagónica Foundation (via the Giménez family), among others, raising significant funds for social projects.
Special mention must be made of the collaboration provided by government and municipal bodies, the Coast Guard, the police, the Gendarmerie, and the hundreds of volunteers who participated daily, ensuring that competitors could travel smoothly through each stage and the various towns hosting the event.
