The touristic city of southern Argentina will be the base of the event, with a new format that will bring cars closer to the public. The event will include three legs on roads in the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén. Next week, the final measurement recce to define the route is to be completed.

The 31st edition of the 1000 Millas Sport promises to be one of the most attractive in its history, with a format that will bring classic sports cars closer to the public.

The event is organised by the Club de Automóviles Sport, scheduled from November 27 to 30 and in the meantime the enthusiasm of local authorities to host this event grows.

Organisers made a commitment to carry out the administrative checks, scrutineering and the grand finale of the competition in the traditional Centro Cívico of San Carlos de Bariloche, with the unique setting of Lake Nahuel Huapi. The local Mayor Gustavo Gennuso, the Ministry of Tourism and the Emprotur have been working for several months with the organization on logistic matters. Authorities from the Chamber of Tourism pointed out that those events like 1000 Millas Sport “lengthen the seasons, give work and put the tourist destination in the window of the world.”

Next week, organizers will do the recce to get the final measurement of the competition roads to define the route, which will cover three legs in the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén. The enthusiasm for this event valid for the Historic Sport championship monitored by the CDA of the Automóvil Club Argentino and the Triple Crown - along with the Rally de las Bodegas and the Rally de la Montaña- is also noticed among the entrants. In addition to a good number of Argentine crews, fans of classic cars from Germany, Italy, USA and Brazil have already confirmed their participation.

Admitted vehicles

The 1000 Millas Sport are open to the participation of vehicles approved from the list of Historic Sport Cars of the following categories: Category C: vehicles manufactured up to 31-12-1930; Category D: vehicles manufactured between 1-01-1931 and 31-12-1945; Category E: vehicles manufactured between 1-01-1946 and 31-12-1960; Category F1: vehicles manufactured between Category F2: vehicles manufactured between 1-01-1966 and 31-12-1970; Category G1: vehicles manufactured between 1-01-1971 and 31-12-1975 and Category G2: vehicles manufactured between 1-01-1976 and up to the limit set by FIVA.

Important brands such as Audi UBS, Gulf, Chopard, Llao Llao Resort&Spa, Jack Green, La Meridional, Bodegas Bianchi and Havanna sponsor these 1000 Millas Sport, which will also have a solidarity purpose through donations to the Banco de Alimentos and local NGOs, together with the Fundación Challenge Argentina.

Entries are open until October 31^st and it should be noted that the organizing club has set an entry fee that is the lowest of the last 20 editions, in order to promote the competition.

The traditional event will be held from November 27th to 30th

The great meeting of the classic looks renewed in the 2019 edition. The city of San Carlos de Bariloche will be the base for the race, which will comprise three legs on roads of the provinces of Río Negro, Neuquén and Chubut. The event was declared to be of National Interest by the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina and of Provincial Interest by the local governments.
 

Las 1000 Millas Sport es la competencia más importante de América Latina en su tipo. Reúne autos sport de todos los tiempos, joyas mecánicas con pilotos tenaces que reviven la historia misma del automovilismo.

Los triunfadores de esta Edición Aniversario han sido el binomio de  Daniel Erejomovich y Gustavo Llanos, con un AC 16/80

Durante la competencia se recorrieron los caminos mas espectaculares de la Patagonia en donde los participantes realizaron distintas pruebas de regularidad. Las 1000 Millas Sport es una carrera histórica, un museo itinerante, una aventura deportiva maravillosa que hoy celebra la culminación de sus 30 ediciones. Y este año la celebración es por doble partida, ya que el reconocido Club de Automoviles Sport, cumple su 70 Aniversario.

Este año, con motivo a la 30va edición, se sumó un el trofeo especial, el “Desafío Pioneros”, por el que compitieron aquellos con una larga historia de participación en las 1000 Millas.  El triunfador del Desafio Pioneros fue Fernando Sánchez Zinny, seguido por Manuel Manuel Eliçabe - Fernando Biagliani. En tercer lugar quedó la dupla Miguel y Karina Goldschmidt.

Además, el binomio Italiano Maurizio De Marco y Luca Bergamaschi (organizador del Gran Premio Nuvolari) participó en el homenaje al gran Luciano Viaro, uno de los pilotos más destacados de la actividad a nivel mundial. Los participantes pilotearon el mismo Alfa Romeo con el que Viaro obtuvo más de 9 victorias. El premio mejor equipo extranjero quedó en manos de los italianos Doménico Battagliola y Davide Antonini a bordo de un Porsche 356 de 1964.

Entre los participantes mas célebres de esta edición está Patrick Peter,  organizador de la carrera Le Mans Classic, que eligió conducir un Torino coupé 380W modelo 1969, un auto de industria nacional que no conocía.

Las 1000 Millas Sport está incluida en el Calendario Mundial FIVA y es Fecha Puntable del Campeonato Nacional Sport Histórico fiscalizado por el ACA.
 
La competencia, como es tradición, se lleva a cabo en las rutas de la Patagonia Argentina en el mes de Noviembre y tiene sede en el hotel Llao Llao Resorts & Spa de Bariloche, Provincia de Rio Negro. Las 1000 Millas Sport ha sido declarada de Interés Turístico Nacional y Provincial
 

El 22 de Noviembre a las 8 de la mañana se dará bandera de largada a la icónica competencia de regularidad 1000 Millas Sport de la Argentina - Edición #30. Con más de 100 inscriptos, y un gran aumento de participantes femeninas, promete ser una edición memorable.

Este año, para celebrar su 30va edición, se ha sumado el Desafío Pioneros para aquellos participantes veteranos de la competencia. Y el Homenaje al gran Luciano Viaro, uno de los pilotos más destacados de la actividad a nivel mundial. El único en ganar tres veces la Mille Miglia en Italia,  tres en Japón y  tres ediciones de las 1000 Millas Sport en 1999, 2001 y 2007.

Las 1000 Millas Sport está incluida en el Calendario Mundial FIVA y es Fecha Puntable del Campeonato Nacional Sport Histórico fiscalizado por el ACA.

Finalmente Juan Tonconogy y Bárbara Ruffini se quedaron con la 29a Edición de las #1000millas2017 a bordo de un Riley Sprite de 1936. ¡Felicitaciones a los ganadores!
El podio se completó en SEGUNDO lugar con Alejandro López y Gabriel Gourovich en un Delage DM de 1927 y en TERCER puesto quedó la dupla Daniel Erejomovich y Gustavo Llanos conduciendo un AC 16/80 Comp. Sport de 1938.

Con este triunfo Juan Tonconogy suma la cantidad de 6 victorias en las 1000 Millas Sport, siendo el máximo ganador histórico. 2009-2010-2012-2013-2014...y 2017!
 

Today finished the second Stage and the 3 leaders are separated by only 32 points of difference. Tomorrow will be a day to be very focused and not make the slightest mistake since any carelessness can leave them out of competition because there is no discarding in this third and final stage.

The final itinerary of the 1000 Sport Miles promises an edition with new alternatives, as much in the sports side as in the touristic sites to visit as well, in a more dynamic route, with less traffic.

1st Phase: November, Thursday 9th: To Junín de los Andes, passing through Confluencia, Alicurá, lunch at Sociedad Rural, then returning to crown the end of the Arelauquen phase.

2nd Phase: November, Friday 10th: To San Martín de los Andes, passing through Villa La Angostura and the unbeatable Camino de los 7 Lagos, lunch at Chapelco Golf, returning after passing through Hotel Correntoso, ending at the Centro Cívico of Bariloche City.

Both phases, a tour of more than 500kms, were balanced between a series of tests and relaxed stops, thanks to the support of local Police, Transit and Highway authorities, that enabled us to transit through uknown places.

3rd Phase: November, Saturday 11th: A more relaxed route of 300kms, but with a high sport level. A series of tests at Circuito Chico, the climbing of the Cerro Catedral, a stop at Lago Gutiérrez and then strict tests at Foyel. What´s new in this phase: a definition till the end since different test will be held at Foyel, the descent of the Cerro Catedral, ending the last test at Circuito Chico, a mere few meters of the grand finale of the race, at the shore of Llao Llao Lake.

The rally will be held once again on the roads of the Argentinean Patagonia on November 08-12, with headquarters at the Llao LLao Hotel & Resort - Golf - Spa, Bariloche, Province of Rio Negro.

The number of participating vehicles is limited to 150.
